General

How can I find the best hotel for my stay?

Search: You can search for all hotels in a certain city via the searchbox, or search for a specific hotel within the destination of your choice. You simply select your arrival and departure dates together with the rooms you want and click on ‘Search’. Our search system will check all the hotels and present you with a list.

Refine your results: When you see your list of hotels, you can refine your selection by star class, distance from a specific point of interest, or define the maximum you want to spend.

Compare rooms: At Easytobook.com you can compare different rooms with our comparison tool, and you can share your findings with friends and ask their opinion on your selection, via Facebook, Twitter or e-mail.

How do I make a booking?

Making your booking is simple; you can just follow these steps. If you need any help, contact us.

  1. Select your room(s)
    Once you have chosen your hotel and selected your room(s), click on the ‘book’ button to continue
  2. Fill in the booking form
    After you have clicked the ‘book’ button, a booking form will appear. Complete the fields as accurately as possible. When you have finished the booking form, you see the confirmation screen. You can also print that page
  3. Check your e-mail for the Booking Confirmation
    On the confirmation page you will find a summary of your booking. Directly after making the booking you will also receive your confirmation by e-mail. Contact Easytobook.com if you did not receive the confirmation e-mail, so our Customer Service Center can find out for you what went wrong.

How do I amend a booking?

You will need to contact Easytobook.com directly by e-mail. If you want to make changes to the length of your booking or to the number or type of rooms you have reserved, send us an e-mail including your Booking Number, and tell us what changes you would like to make.

If the hotel has availability, we will then amend the booking for you and send you an e-mail confirming the new booking details. If the hotel can’t fulfill your request we will let you know, and we will give you some useful alternative suggestions. Beware that some hotels have policies that don’t allow changes or cancellation after you have booked a special deal. You can read these conditions in the hotels’ descriptions.

How do I cancel a booking?

Before cancelling your booking make sure you know the cancellation policy of your chosen hotel. You find it in My Booking. If you are sure you want to cancel, follow the easy steps below:

  1. Open the booking confirmation e-mail that was sent to you. At the bottom of this e-mail you find a link to the My Booking page or you can use the link below.
  2. The link My Booking will take you to your personal booking page. Here you will need to enter your booking number and password and then log in.
  3. You will then see a page with your booking details. Here you can cancel your booking in 1 simple click.
  4. Once you have chosen to cancel your booking you will be shown a page stating that your booking is indeed cancelled.
  5. You will also be sent a cancellation e-mail. It will look like the original confirmation e-mail but will clearly state at the top that it is the cancellation. Contact Easytobook.com if you do not receive your cancellation e-mail, so our Customer Service Center can find out for you what went wrong.
Rates

How can the price vary when I select my own currency?

We negotiate the best rates we possibly can and we pass those savings on to you. The prices are usually based on the local currency – even when you book in your own currency, payment is in the local currency of the accommodation. Note that rates can be subject to currency fluctuations. For accurate currency exchange rates, check the Currency Converter

Are the prices including tax?

Most prices are displayed including taxes and other fees; some prices show them separately. On the booking screen you have a clear overview of all the prices, the taxes and other fees, and if they are included in or excluded from the displayed price for the room.

Are prices including breakfast?

On the website you see a label when breakfast is included in the room price. If breakfast is excluded, you find the costs in the room description.

Special requests

Can I have an extra bed in my room?

Some hotels allow extra beds in their rooms, for free or at a surcharge. You can find information about these options in the room description. Any special requests can be put in the remarks box on the booking form, and the hotel will do their utmost to honor it. Easytobook.com cannot guarantee any special requirements.

Can my children stay with me in my room?

Child policies of hotels can differ per hotel. Some hotels allow children in the present beds, others require a surcharge for baby cots or extra beds. In the room descriptions you can find all the needed information.

Can I check-in earlier than the time stated in the hotel description?

Hotels have limited check-in times so that their rooms can be cleaned in time after a guest leaves, to be ready for the next guest. In some cases, hotels allow early check-in. This can also be found in the hotel description. The regular check-in and check-out times are mentioned with every hotel. You can put your request for early check-in in the remarks field on the booking form.

Can I enter my room before the check-in time?

Can I drop off my luggage before check-in?

When your check-in time is different from your travel times, you might want to drop off your luggage at your hotel in advance. If your hotel has this possibility, it will be mentioned in the descriptions of the hotel.

What do I have to pay when I book?

This differs according to the room you book. Some special offers have to be paid for immediately, but most refundable deals can be payed at the hotel. On the booking screen you see a clear overview of all the charges that apply for your booking.

How can I pay for my booking?

To guarantee your booking, your debit or credit card is required. Pre-authorization of the card may be carried out. When you pay with your debit card, this amount can be put on hold in order to ensure that there are sufficient funds on your card. If the hotel allows for payment at check-in or check-out, in most cases you can also pay in cash.

Which details must I give to make a payment?

Easytobook.com will ask for the guest’s name, e-mail and card details. Your card details are used to guarantee your booking, and to pre-authorize for funds. Easytobook.com uses your e-mail address to keep you updated about the best deals, special limited time offers and more. You can unsubscribe from this service at any time.

What happens to my details after payment?

You personal details are not shared with any third party. Your card details are sent to the hotel, encrypted for secure sending over the Internet, so payment with any card is safe.

When do I have to pay for my booking?

If there is no prepayment required at the hotel you chose, you can pay on arrival with a card or in cash. Your card can be charged before check-in under these circumstances:

  1. If you do not cancel your booking and do not arrive at the hotel. (In this case the hotel will charge a no-show fee which in most cases is equal to the cost of the first night of your booking.)
  2. If you cancel your booking after the cancellation deadline. (In this case the hotel will charge a late cancellation fee which in most cases is equal to the cost of the first night of your booking.)
  3. If you book a special deal, advanced booking, non-refundable deal or any other kind of special booking for which different conditions and policies are mentioned in the room description and on the booking screen. In these cases the hotel will charge your card with the cost of the first night or for the full amount of the booking in advance, depending on the conditions of the booking. Such special bookings cannot be changed or cancelled.

What is a Hot Deal or Special Offer?

By booking a Hot Deal, Advanced Booking, Last-minute or any other Special Deal, the hotel can offer you cheaper rates due to special policies they apply. In most cases, the payment policy or the cancellation policy differs. You can find the different policies in the descriptions of the hotel. In some cases a prepayment is required, and in most cases these special offers cannot be amended or cancelled.

What happens when I cancel later than the Cancellation Policy allows?

If you do not cancel within the cancellation policy period, a late cancellation fee will be charged to your card. This is normally equal to the cost of the first night of your stay depending on the policy of the hotel at which you have made your booking.

What happens if I do not show up at the hotel?

If you do not cancel and do not arrive at the hotel, a no-show fee will be charged to your card. This is normally equal to the cost of the first night of your stay depending on the policy of the hotel at which you have made your booking.

How can I get reimbursed for charges that did not apply to me?
